Making your own wine can be very simple and straightforward with just some basic instructions, or it can be an exciting art where your experience and imagination blends fruits and berries, and yes, vegetables and herbs too, into unique delicious wines.

For the beginner, there are several options to get the feet “wet”.
(Not to mention wetting the appetite ) Purchasing a wine kit containing all the ingredients, and possibly all the equipment you need is an easy, sure fire way to get some experience while follow a true and tested process that will yield delicious wine.

For others who may have access to a large quantity of fruits or berries, finding an easy to follow wine recipe, purchasing the type of wine yeast desired, and all the other wine making supplies on their own may be more appealing.

Then we have the curious, and possibly more frugal, type who would like to try their hand at making inexpensive wine without a lot of fuss. Here we have the option of making wine from juices that can be purchased at the local grocery store, using equipment already at hand. Buckets, glass bottles, demi jeannes, and home made airlocks can be constructed or found with a little imagination. Making your own wine this way will only cost you the price of the fruit juices, sugar, and you really should spend the money to purchase some wine yeast. This can be more experimental, but a lot of fun, not to mention that you can make some nice wine.
